Our main school hours are 8:50am to 3:10pm

Total of hours in school per day: 6 hours and 20 minutes

Total of hours in school per week: 31 hours and 40 minutes 

Our nursery is open from 8:45am to 3.15pm.  We offer full and half days, including or excluding lunch provision

The government has stipulated that all schools must be open for a minimum of 32.5 hours per week from September 2023. Our current opening hours for the main school (8:50am – 3.10pm) leave us 50 minutes per week short of this new requirement. 

Leaders across the cluster have met and are in a similar position.  We have worked together with them to coordinate a plan for the next academic year.  We are proposing that, from September 2023, we will start at 8.45am and finish at 3.15pm, adding 5 minutes to the beginning and end of the day to align with the nursery hours.  With the junior school changing their pick up time, the time window for parents picking up across both schools will remain unchanged.
